Thermaltake CLP0401 CPU Fan

Thermaltake, now there is a cooling company that has been producing interesting products for as long as I can remember. From coolers to cases to keyboards, you name it, Thermaltake will make it. While their creative designs are questionable, they always seem to do well as users are drawn in with bright colors. So what have they come up with this time? Today we have another Thermaltake monster that stands 16.1cm tall and weighs in at well over half a kilo!

This colossal cooler is simply called the "V14Pro" and Thermaltake gave us no official explanation as to why they chose this name, but we are guessing it has something to do with its v-like shape. Thermaltake has come up with a number of unique designs over the years, and I am sure many of you will remember back to the days of the original Orb coolers. In fact their most recent creation, the SpinQ, was quite possibly their most intriguing design yet.

While the V14Pro is fairly original, it does remind us of those early Zalman heatsink designs. In fact, every time we look at this new Thermaltake heatsink it is hard to believe that it is not a Zalman product. Still, the V14Pro has been modeled off the smaller V1 version, which was released well over a year ago now. Like the original, the V14Pro is an exciting product from Thermaltake, as it's not just a cheap after market alternative.

Rather, the V14Pro is a serious air-cooled solution, designed to deliver the very best cooling performance possible for the latest AMD and Intel processors. In the past Thermaltake has released a number of quality coolers, such as the Big Typhoon, Silent 775D, and even the original V1. The new V14Pro is another quality product featuring a 100% copper design from the base to the fins and everything else in between. With that in mind, let's move on and check the V14Pro out in more detail...
